How Would You Reply To Hillary?
Watch the video and then answer... How Would You Reply To Hillary Clinton?
Very simple. We don't make the choices. We allow parents the right to educate their children the way they want. We help ALL parents educate their children. We foster competition in the marketplace of ideas. That includes allowing some to go to schools, learn the types of things, that we don't agree with.
She is bringing up these arguments, not because she really believes in them, but because she is fully supportive of the socialistic public school system, and its monopoly in the marketplace of ideas.
Socialism does not support the idea of real diversity of thought. It supports state monopolies over ideas, which is Hillary Clinton's greatest ideal.

Mrs. Clinton:
So if we listen to you, our children become the right age to go to school and we come to you and you tell us where they can go and what they can learn, instead of us send our children where we want them to go? Are these are the same schools where my child no longer says the "Pledge of Alligence", "Merry Christmas", "Happy New Year", as not to offend others that may not share the same values, has to enter through metal detectors and is falling further and further behind other children of the world? Perhaps forced busing is the answer...children of the 80's became so much smarter when they were shipped to other areas. OH wait, I forgot, desegregation didnt work. Sorry. Let me get this straight, I can homeschool my child, but I can only teach them things that you agree with and not anything from my values or culture?
Well, I guess I understand your point Mrs. Clinton, but a couple more questions:
If we can't do it with vouchers, as the republicans have suggested, then how can we make sure our children get smarter? Because each year with the current system, our government testing shows that our children are falling further and further behind... Which public school did you receive your childhood eductaion? I want a voucher for that school!

My first impression was why give them a handout / voucher at all? Why not let the parents decide what kind of education their children should get and impower them to do so by refraining from taking so much taxes from their already small salary. They can then either school their kids in the place that they want to or do it themselves because they do not have to work so hard to pay government taxes.

The whole idea behind a government-sponsored public school is to control what the future voters think and believe and will eventually vote for, and to prepare and train future workers for businesses. It's not to create intelligent, critical-thinking, logical, independent children or adults.
So, of course, the government will pay for government-sponsored public school. It's going to balk at paying for anything else, and make it difficult for hardworking, public-school-educated parents to pay for anything else.
Giving me back my tax money to pay for alternative education for my children goes against government ideals, no matter what my kids will be taught. Once the government loses control over the education of the majority of the people, the government will cease to exist, as we now know it. So, of course, they will do whatever they can, including this "jihad school" line of talk, to convince us that public school is best.
It's for your own good to deny your own kids alternative education in order to keep terrorism at bay. That's the message I got from this.
And this is the person who many will seek as president in 2008?
