Does anyone else appreciate the irony that we rhetorically attack racism, yet support increasing racial diversity in communities? Racial hatred is caused by racial friction; racial friction is caused by two or more races trying to share the same territory. Racists are the symptom, the byproduct of racial diversity.
The greater the racial diversity, the greater the racial hatred in a community. Right? Isn't that we have been discovering in this noble experiment to get humankind to transcend its tribal nature?
-- Promote mono-racial societies, and you are promoting societies that are free of racial hatred.
-- Promote multi-racial societies, and you are promoting racial hatred.
The dilemma for us who support multi-culturalism is what balance do we strike between the benefits of multi-culturalism and the amount of racial hatred we can tolerate.

I'm not sure what you mean. My point is that if we are to make multi-culturalism work, we must understand the cause of racial hatred, and not mistake the symptom, racists, for the cause.

That's what the KKK said in their web site : and they're definetly NOT a good example.

Mono-racial societies might be free of racial hatred: racially motivated murders, rapes, robberies, assaults, etc. -- but then they also lack the benefits of multi-culturalism.
So, the ideal would be to balance the benefits of multi-culturalism, with the level of racial hatred that a society can endure.
Where I grew up, there was never really a racial line drawn between one person or the other (at least, not in the town and community I lived in). I grew up in a community that had many people of different racial/ethnic backgrounds. My parents raised my sister and I to never judge anyone by their race, creed, or color. When we moved to a state, in the deep south, I found much racial profiling and segregation (I believe that is the word I am looking for). There were certain schools and neighborhoods, that only had one type of people. Unfortunately, in some areas of the south, you have much racism. :( But it's not just in some areas of the south, it happens all around the world, doesn't it???
I believe that everyone is the same in my book. I have also made it a point to raise my kids in the same way.
I know that I might be grasping at a string, but isn't racism taught? I don't mean taught in school or a seminar, but I know a person just didn't get up one morning and decide, 'today I am going to be a racist for the rest of my life'. I believe that some of the racism in today's society is carried on from parent to child. It becomes a vicious cycle, that needs to stop. Can't we all just get along?

True, but I don't agree with mono-racial societies why? First of all because we need to teach people that ALL races are the same, we can just separate ourselves or a group of individuals just to stop the race crimes. That's not the proper way to deal with the problem but education, stronger laws about it and giving a good example. It's sad what I'm going to say but there will be always in this world some dumbies who think their race is better than other ones, you cannot avoid such thinking but we can make a difference on race crimes by proper educating the people. By segregating ourselves in a so called 'mono-society' will not only not help the main purpose but also give a double message of speech in which the whole issue starts like the ignorant statement of "each race belongs to a certain place and cannot be mixed".

Oh yeah, it happens everywhere mss and happens in ALL races. Some people tend to think that discrimination or racism is only from white people to black people but that's incorrect, it happens in every ethnic group.
