Architect's
Award System
For a long time I have wanted to create this page, but did not, because I was hoping that the general Membership of the Community would be active in supporting those who really stand out through their votes. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with many of the Members and Moderator's hard work going largely unnoticed or even ignored. I seek to change that completely using the below system. |

Frequently Asked Questions Q. Do I participate in voting someone for this award? Q. Why does the Architect get to choose someone of his own liking? Q. How is each award given? |

Architect's Member of the Year
2010
This year's Architect's Award goes to Oliron based on his very progressive all round Membership during 2010. Often we get Members that join for just RPGs or just one subject matter in particular, this usually severely limits their popularity and input into the Community. Oliron is the opposite to this as he has presented himself flexible and open minded thus being able to be both GameMaster (GM) in running a campaign, a regular player in other RPGs that he is not the GM, and participate in worthwhile Discussions outside the realm of games. This is the kind of Member that understands that the Community is bigger than just having fun, but that it offers insightful and constructive Discussion maybe more than what he may have originally joined to utilize. |

Architect's Member of the Year
2009
Each year I have to look back at what happened throughout the year with regards to Member input and activity in the Community. Some Members excelled more in one more month and less in other months. Some Members were more detailed in their contributions and some less so. Some Members were suddenly active and then not so much later in the year. Standing out for a period of time is nice, but what catches my eye is most definitely consistency. Without a doubt no one Member has been more consistent than KNtoran. KNtoran has managed to maintain an average Posting rate of 15 per day and has even took up the challenge of running the current AD&D Scenario. The most amazing thing is that besides his odd hours of work, wife who has been in and out of hospital and his responsibilities at home he chooses to come and spend a considerable amount of time with us! No doubt KNtoran deserves the Architect Member of the Year 2009! |

Architect's Member of the Year
2008
I have chosen Vincenzo for the Architect's Member of the Year 2008. Vincenzo has been with us for a number of years and although not very active when he does contribute to a Topic it is always insightful and sometimes a bit humorous. Additionally, you can always count on Vincenzo to bring us the Asian perspective on things being that he is currently stationed there. In our last Donation Drive, when it mattered most for the birth of our son Seth, Vincenzo contributed (US$200) more than half the total we received from the entire Community. Little does everyone know Vincenzo is good at RPGs/MMORPGs too but we have to work on getting him active there. |

Architect's Member of the Year
2007
I have chosen DianeC as Member of the Year 2007 for many reasons. First of all, it is amazes me how she is able to even log online to participate while at the same time having to meet the demands of two very special adopted children. She is a great example of how a Member should be in both online etiquette and overall disposition within a Discussion. DianeC is not limited to one type or form of Discussion, but gives input across the board. Now with that established, I looked at the passed Members of the Year (below), they are no longer active here even though they are still registered as Members. I hope this award is not a blight. I hope instead it will bring renewed vigor from our new chosen winner of the Architect's Member of the Year Award 2007. Congrats. |

Architect's
Member
of the Year 2006 This was an easy pick. Valla has been and is an A+ Member from the start, in fact she can be considered a model Member and here is why:
From early on Valla established herself in various Topics. She uploaded her photo and then Upgraded her account not once, but twice. She has jumped into the RPGs and made herself known among the Members. In addition to this she even went to our partner site (www.GrowingUpMale.com) and made over 200+ Posts! Valla participates in all kinds of Discussions, why only the other day she was posting in the Matrix Board. She also regularly tackles the Unanswered Posts, a place not ventured often.
Valla is another example of consistency and seeing the value of the Community. Without hesitation she is the Architect's Member of the Year 2006. |
Architect's
Moderator
of the Year 2006
All our Moderators have great characteristics / qualities about them, however in the past year consistency seemed to be lacking terribly, but one truly stood out in 2006, and that was LDS_forever. Now I know most of you will say that because she is my wife she got the reward, but not so at all. Those who know me will no I am not biased and many times I have not even voted for LDS_forever if I think she did not perform as well as another during a particular month. LDS_forever has been online here everyday, posting constantly and getting into the nitty gritty of the Discussions. The most impressive thing about her level of Moderation is that she is everywhere - not just the Topics that interest her. Without hesitation LDS_forever is my pick for Moderator of the year. |

Architect's
Member
of the Year 2005
There were many members that could have gained this award had they fulfilled one crucial thing: being active. Sadly, in this past year many have gone from ultra active to unseen and so in making my choice I cannot choose someone that is not currently participating. Now, my current choice was based on finding a Member that could meet all the below requirements and hands down, it was no contest with Bwren. Bwren has participated in almost every aspect of the Community since joining and has even contributed behind the scenes. It is without a doubt Bwren deserves the Architect's Award for 2005. |
Architect's
Moderator
of the Year 2005
Being a Moderator here is not an easy title to earn, keep or execute, in fact, for a Mod to fulfill his or her job fully he or she would have to be somewhat proactive and tolerant. At times it can be stressful or tedious, but one thing is sure: a good Moderator is always noticed. You can tell this by the votes of each Month if a specific Moderator is really causing some 'things' to happen. This past year we seemed to have ups and downs with Mods and even lost some and / or in the process of losing some to the constraints of life. Nevertheless, there has been one Mod that has been with us for a long time and no matter what is going on in her life she has stayed here and stayed faithful, even in her sad moments. She adds a light wherever she posts and ensures to give a hand as needed. It is with gratitude I award Moderator FarSeer with the Architect's Award for 2005. |
