Comments: If you marry someone but do not live with them right away does that mean you're not married to them?

Comments: I can't ever remember reading that anywhere at least not in the scriptures or any prophet.
When the principal of polygamy was being practiced, the government knew that they could never prove that someone had been married to a plural wife. The only thing that they could attempt to prove was cohabitation. So, that's what they made illegal--cohabitation. Cohabitation was considered presumptive evidence of marriage. But since mortal men cannot cohabit with dead wives, it naturally follows that they are not "practicing" plural marriage if they marry again. That's not what the government considered to be polygamy and it's not what the Church considers to be plural marriage. The Church now no longer permits men to practice polygamy. In fact, they excommunicate men who take plural wives. But they do not excommunicate widowers who remarry. That is very clear evidence that the Brethren do not consider a widower who remarries to be practicing polygamy. Is that clear enough?-

Comments: Does not matter it still isn't scriptural. Plus with your thinking then Joseph did the same with all his brides although some say he did not go as far as you put it.

Comments: Plural marriage will never return because the Saints will never accept it. That is why it was removed in the first place, the Saints could not abide by the covenant.
