Another missionary, this time in Utah doing what he is not supposed to be doing. Where was his companion? Where was the mother of this child? Or this happened in front of everybody and nobody noticed it?

QUOTE
A missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been charged with fondling a 12-year-old Salt Lake County boy he had recently baptized, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday in 3rd District Court.
Kyle Saucier, 20 - who was living in the Holladay area at the time - is charged with one count of first-degree felony aggravated sexual abuse of a child, which is punishable by 6, 10 or 15 years to life in prison.
One factor elevating the seriousness of the alleged crime is that Saucier "occupied a position of special trust in relation to the victim," according to the complaint.
The boy told a Salt Lake County sheriff's detective that on Christmas Eve, he and his mother went to Saucier's apartment - near 4200 S. Highland Drive - to give him a Christmas present, according to the complaint.
Saucier gave him a hug, then reached into his pants, and touched his penis, the boy told investigators...

The Church also gave a statement and refers to the kid as the "victim" so obviously is not a made up thing.

I don't understand how some members can be fooled by seeing your "typical" large LDS family with 7 or 8 kids and thinking they are this great example. Read this whole story (by clicking on link) It's truly disturbing.

The Bishop's actions show once more that MOST of the time the Church is willing to keep all this quiet rather than make a report to the police.

QUOTE
A Brisbane teenager was quoted religious scripture and banned from taking the sacrament as punishment for molesting a female relative after the girl's parents decided against reporting the offence to police, a court has been told.

The family instead left it to a church bishop to discipline the boy, but the strategy failed and the teenager went on to commit multiple sex offences against young girls over a 15-year period, ending with the stalking of his wife's 16 year-old sister last year.

Now aged 29, the man admitted at Brisbane's District Court yesterday to spying on his sister-in-law on eight separate occasions while she used the bathroom.

He also pleaded guilty to seven counts of indecent dealing with children under 12 and 16, stemming from the molestation of his younger sister and two female cousins between 1991 and 2006.

The court heard the man, who cannot be named, had been just 13 when he began sexually abusing the girls, the youngest of them aged 11.

The abuse continued for years, with one of the attacks occurring in the back of the family car while the man's mother and father were present.

When one of the girls complained, her father was persuaded to allow her attacker to be counselled by the church bishop for six months, instead of going to the police.

"The bishop quoted scriptures to him and the discipline was that he was not to take the sacraments for a period of time," Defence counsel Tim Ryan said.

"It didn't have the desired effect."

Mr Ryan told the court of his client's "dysfunctional" upbringing in a Mormon household of eight children "where there were completely inappropriate [sexual] behaviours....."

Sick and twisted, and it probably started long before the father of this one. Perpetrating abnormal behavior from generation to generation. How horrible for the whole family.

I wish they could have left the focus OFF the fact that the family was Mormon. The behavior of the father in that family shows clearly he was not a normal person, no matter what his religion was. Why can't they focus on that fact, rather than the whole Mormon "issue"? People reading that article will think that's how *all* Mormon families are.

I just cannot believe this guy got away with it! He beat up his pregnant wife, pull a knife on a cop and he ends up free!

QUOTE
A Mormon dad-of-seven, who lunged at a police sergeant with a kitchen knife and had to be subdued with CS gas, has narrowly avoided a prison sentence.

But Malcolm Morgan, 42, was warned at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday by Judge Richard McGregor-Johnson that if he committed a further offence he would be sent to prison.

Police were called to the home of Morgan, in Orchard Road, Feltham, on July 15 last year after an anonymous call saying his wife had been beaten up - prosecutor David Smith told the court at an earlier hearing.

"They found his pregnant wife with dried blood in her hair and her face swollen and bruised," he said.

"The defendant was asleep and, when woken by officers, he lunged at one of them.

"He was arrested and handcuffed for the assault on his wife.

"He then asked to fetch his belongings and reached behind a curtain pulling out a kitchen knife."

He was told to drop the knife by Sergeant Gavin Coleman but instead "lunged at the officer saying Do you want some?'"

The officers fled but returned with CS gas spray with which they used to subdue Morgan.

Morgan denied charges of causing his wife actual bodily harm and affray and of threatening police....

US law sometimes is a Mickey Mouse event, however if any Bishop read that then disciplinary action should be already underway!

What is pathetic about it is also that his wife did not present charges on him and that one of the reasons for letting him free is that he is the sole breadwinner of the family. rolleyes.gif

Another Pedophile in the Church, it is truly scary to see the amount of news I read like this one. It is also scary to see the pics of these people and think they look just like someone that sits next to you in Church.

KSL News) New information this morning about a 4-H leader accused of sexually abusing children.

The Deseret Morning News reports Curtis Crittendon told police his problem began years ago. An arrest warrant states Crittendon says he sexually abused two teen boys when he returned from his LDS mission.

Crittendon is now in jail, accused of groping children in the 4-H program who slept over at his house.

We all read horrible cases of sexual abuse done by LDS members but what about when a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy is involved? What about when the attacks take place on Conference trips? *shaking head*

I am sure you all heard about George P. Lee, the first American Indian in becoming a General Authority. He was excommunicated in 1989 for "apostasy and other conduct unbecoming a member of the church." (I wish the Church would have been straightforward in the real reason! *sigh*).

Anyhow, this monster have been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in Washington county.

QUOTE
In 1994, after being charged with first-degree aggravated sexual abuse of a child, Lee pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of third-degree felony attempted sexual abuse of a child and was sentenced to 18 months' probation.

The charges were made after a girl who had been a friend of Lee's family told police Lee had assaulted her while on conference trips from the time she was 9 until she was 12.

Lee was principal of the Tuba City High School in Arizona when he was charged.

Lee's arrest is the most recent of several arrests that have taken place in Washington County through a new, proactive sex offender registry program, said Washington County Sheriff's spokeswoman Stephanie Coots.

Lee could be charged with third-degree felony failure to register. He has not registered since 2001, but the sheriff's spokeswoman said officials have no reason to believe he has engaged in criminal sexual activity during the interval.

Rather off topic, but...
I will research on what basis he was released of his calling as a Seventy and if the Church made any statement concerning the matter.
