One has to wonder why he was kept on the list for so long - Hitler sympathizers you think? You know, in the old days when a ruler, king or pontiff was conquered or dethroned by the enemy the first thing they would do is wipe the name of the leader form all the history books, buildings, and so forth. However, in this day and age people glorify the enemy and love killers as though they were angels of light.

He was a mad man, and possibly in this case a hypocrite. However, if he really was mad then I think every minute situation would be overlooked. The idea was just to exterminate the living 'sub humans', not necessarily their talent.

Yes Hitler was a madman but a very charismatic one. I think that is why his name remains in the history books and why he still has some who follow his ideals.
JDS_Forever mentions a fear of a simular power as the Nazis up rising I think might be worth a separate thread as she is right. Just might be shocking to see who does it.
Velleta you are absolutely right it was Hitlers abilities to do what he said he would that one over the masses that followed him to war. Leaders like this are few and far between and usually leave a large scar behind, and that same craze they have usually leads to the greed that eventually is their down fall. I just hope the next crazy leader is noted far sooner and plans put into action to counter them before a Third World war to end the earth arises.

I disagree. In my opinion, his name remains in the history books because he is responsible of the torture and death of more than 10 million people. Charisma is way down the list considering the bigger picture.
