Today's media follows these simple steps.
1). Find a bad place(or person).
2.) Observe(mostly spy), on that place or person
3.) Find anything "funny".
4.) Report It
5.) Cause a hysteria
6.) Get millions of dollars in ratings.
That's the dirty secret the media dosen't want you to know.

"In relation to the political decontamination of our public life, the government will embark upon a systematic campaign to restore the nation's moral and material health. The whole educational system, theater, film, literature, the press and broadcasting -- all these will be used as a means to this end." -- Adolf Hitler : - (1889-1945) German Nazi Dictator Source: Volkischer Beobachter, 23 March 1933
John Pilger: There Is a War on Journalism
It's been a week since Rolling Stone published its article on General Stanley McChrystal that eventually led to him being fired by President Obama. Since the article came out, Rolling Stone and the reporter who broke the story, Michael Hastings, have come under attack in the mainstream media for violating the so-called "ground rules" of journalism. But the investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker John Pilger says Hastings was simply doing what all true journalists need to do. Ref. Source 1
Leftist rapper: Obama "number one terrorist on Earth"
Glenn played audio from Cornel West and rapper Lupe Fiasco as examples of more leftist hate that gets ignored by the media. Why does the media ignore professors who use racial slurs and a rapper who calls President Obama the "number one terrorist on Earth"? Glenn calls out the epic hypocrisy of the media and rings the alarm on some of the most hate-filled speech coming from the left. Ref. Source 4
Yup, and they do with it what they will. Rich people have been doing this for a long time, ho who controls the information, controls the public's opinion, controls the agenda. Hearst and Pulitzer actually did quite a bit to start the Spanish American war. Now, they were probably not the most important reason it started, but they sure helped by stoking the flames… even when the inquiry into the explosion led to the conclusion that the battleship USS Maine probably wasn't the Spanish who blew up the ship while it was moored in Havana Harbor. That didn't stop them from splaying headlines across their newspapers that read Remember the Maine, and pushing for war at every phase. That is why we all need to look at the source and get more than one point of view. Because, believe it or not neither Fox nor MSNBC have a monopoly on the truth and both skew their reporting. I know, shocking.
News as a business was the worst thing to happen to media objectivity. It can't truly be removed of course, but the age of 'choose your truth' has truly gotten out of hand. Couple that with an individual's inherent bias based on their life experiences, how does one choose a media source that is objective?
