Notth Korea could kill millions of citizens in South Korea before we took out their guns. It is impossible to take them all out in time. That is the main thing holding us back.

North Korea didn't fight the US with guerilla warfare. They attacked traditionally and almost drove the US and South Korean forces off of the peninsula.

That was after China joined in on the Northside side. I have talked to many people who were in country during the war and I was even there for two years in the 80's and the things I have found out makes me wonder. If the North attacks yes many people will die and then the North side will be gone.

And that's the reason we haven't seen any engagements yet. To break North Korea would mean bombing the entire country night and day plus taking out Kim.

Well South Korea's millitary is not useless, we could fend them off for a good enough time until maybe the USA interferes. South Korea's millitary is ranked 6th while North Korea's millitary is ranked 28th.

They have gone silent or at least not making major news and that is because conventional forces mean nothing if you are a million miles away hence there interest in missiles.
