Ted Bundy used his "normalcy" to commit the crimes and murders that he committed. He knew that no one would at first, suspect a clean cut, well-groomed, all-american guy next door type to be a serial killer and he used those attributes to prey upon young women. The term "serial killer" was actually coined because of him and it is said that when asked if he really did kill 32 young women, Ted replied, "Add another digit to that." At that time, the questioner admitted later that he didn't know if Ted meant, 33 murders or 132 murders.

That is the scary part of ted Bundy. He could have and had the opportunity and time to kill well over 100 people. Sadly we will never know just how many he really killed.

If you want to read a book about Ted Bundy, then I recommend Ann Rice's "The stranger beside me", it was intended as, I think, a newspaper article, about the mass murderer terrorizing the Seattle area, but as she looked more, and more, into it, she realized how closely this mass murderer was to her co-worker, and friend, Ted Bundy, as this un-known mass murderer, and her friend, lived in the same areas, at the same times as when the murders happened, she indicates that she may have been the first to point the finger at Ted, but as several posts have said, he looked so "normal" that the cops didn't look at him as a suspect.
