Writing A Choose Your Own Adventure Novel

Hi Folks (Sorry, I have not learnt your names yet),
First off, it seems that this game [Ruler of Kings II] and myself were destined to meet. Why? Well, I have been looking for something completely new for awhile. I was planning to write the longest, choose your own adventure in history, encompassing a 1000 pages just for the first novel. It would be akin to reading an epic saga, but one in which you were very much involved. It started with a band of eclectic companions you would never normally see. However, these guys had been through various scrapes, and were making a name for themselves. Ironically, as their name was 'The Silent Wanderers.

Now book was to be written in the third person, so that it would read as an actual book, not the 2nd person must people ascribe. They were actually returning to their leader's home-town. One ruled rather benignly by was father, Lord Hendrek Locklay. Hendrek domain was a granted to him as a boon, as he did with several other legendary knights who had had successful campaigns during a nasty civil far. The country; Tharfold, is a large, power-source within it's continent, and dissenters from smaller, rich nations were causing mischief (And succeeing). However, in the end, The King ; Alexaender Stormer IV was able to succeed.Hendrek was grantred the small Domain ofDeamondis. About 30 miles across, with it'sown fort and town, and a forest with some elf tribes, (The Alta-mari)or wood elves. These guys were the LothLori, a once great house, now reduced to mere spectators on the events of the Elven Nation.

Hendrek and the elves have always had a fair to reasonable reletionship. They see this as this land, as they have lived here for generations. Human politics is far to haphazard and ill-thought, let alone hasty! As Hendrek's health was failing and his wayward son was away playing at 'adventurer' and trying to be a good man. Vexxford, Kettleford's older cousin started taking a more active role in court. An accomplished knight, and is even known to be sighted at Castle Stormer amongst the King's counsel. It seemed he would be delegated several duties. Most of which proved controversial. His greatly increased logging enterprise has caused no end of consternation amongst the Loth-meri elves (The wood elves who have always regared Deamondis as their home). Not only that but he has been taxing them for poaching the lord's game, another rule which the Loth-Meri has been sworn woud not happen. He has also become very unpopular with the local townsfolk, believing his brigade to be nothing more than load mouthed drunks, with more than one young maiden complaining of being manhandled in an on-to-ward manner. In a moment of strength Hedrek listened to the baying of his community, and decided to send word he wanted word with Lord Azure. (Known as a brilliant warrior and scholar, and a bit of a legend in Tharfold). A secret dove had been sent that he was not keen to have this braggart around and was concerned that his health and Kettleford's wayword exploits were causing great friction, to a once peaceful and beautiful part of the country. He is hoping Azure will make a man of Vexford yet, as Azure is known to be the right hand of the king, and only a fool would defy him. Perhaps by humbling him with some humilation (Afterall on many a night Vexford full of wine would chose a lesser swordsman for some 'fun', 'light' sparring. The opponents would be boys just learning how to hold a sword, or maybe a large man who was nought more than a farmer, in armor. Routinely exhibitions which his men would clank their jugs together and laugh and cheer. Vexford was not a bad swordsman, but certainly no Ser Reglon. Azure could best than young man blindfolded, and a taste of his own medicine might be needed. Certainly the boozing had to stop, for then they could make an accurate assessment of him as a man of the Shield. Did he have the right qualities to be an ordained knight, and defend the King's honour. Little had been seen of it so far. In fact there were many issues that had to be addressed. It sorely pained his beloved son Kettleford, had all of these qualites and in spades. But he just hated he court life. Had down ever since he was a kid and would run off with his ranger pal, Doust to go exploring the forest for days on ends. He also seemed to want to help those that were vulnerable or needy. This is how this whole enterprise had began. And no thanks o.

Novel Adventure Your Choose Writing

Hi folks, this is my second post tonight as I ran out of space giving out a bit of background on characters involved at the start of my book I shall not go on much further regarding it, but the game begins with a young Sir Kettleford attempting to get back home after receiving a message that his father is on his deathbed and if he wants a chance to say Goodbye,he needs to get to the fort, very fast. The first problem however is that en route, the party known as 'The Silent Wanderers' encounter a village being brutally pillaged, with atrocities occurring in full view. Now it is known to them that this attack is orchestered by an Efreeti, known as Balthazon. What does Kettleford do? If he opts to save the village, then he will probably be too late to see his dad alive?
Nown, not only did I have this in my tabletop campaign, but I thought it was an exciting way to start the book. So, it lead me to have several questions as to how this game is run.
Am I playing a character in a pre-generated world, which you guys have creHated? If so, are there maps? History, lore, politics, etc. Would I get a run down of current ongoing world events? Or is the player able to use his own campaign? If so, how will the Dungeon Master be able to understand the world and its events, both current and past?

Is it a fantasy setting, where we have monsters and magic? Do you use a system to resolve issues such as Dungeons & Dragons ?
Where is the best place I can see a game being run? How quick are the turn-arounds? To be honest I found the 'rules' section very vague. I think this game is going to be something like what I have been trying to find for ages. And I understand how difficult it is to explain to a newcomer. Will a Dungeon Master be setting up a storyline, which I then incorporate and give my answers? Or do I run a story about my characters and then have the response written to me, with possible consequencies, etc.

When I get familiar with the rules and game mechanics, will I be able to be a GM? As I think I have some great stuff which you wil find interesting for your characters. Also, I can run different genre of game. From Cosmic Horror, to Sci-fi,to whole new genre which has not been labeled yet. Fantasy is of course my bread and butter. However, I am looking forward to playing and GM'ing. Seems like a friendly, smart community, and I am excited to met you online and produce some amazing material. All the best everyone, from Harry.

Huh? I skimmed through this but don't get it. What are you trying to say in as few words as possible? Please make it simple because it's a mesh between a book you want to create and questions about a game.
