Courtesy isn't a privilege, nor a suggested way; it should be a law. There is no way anyone can get anything from tantrum acting, not a well behave answer nor a nice and polite feedback… I do not understand those who are not courteous. You can be mad at something or someone, that still does not justify the rudeness. I grew in suburb of a big city with tough kids and I got bullied a lot, and when I say a lot I mean: beaten by 4+ persons at a time, the iron taste of blood in my mouth, I knew only too well. Despise these jerks, I still do not see how rudeness could solve that.
I think we need more schooling on emotion control. If we were aware we are mad, then knowing fully well the steps of that strong emotion, we would wait a little longer before sending harsh replies or rude tones. And knowing is the beginning of solving!
I have left main stream gaming because of the rudeness and child like behavior. I know longer even play competitive games like apex or pubg anymore. It is also because I can't stand graphics but that's something different.
Many people do not show kindness or common courtesy to one another. It's been that way since America was made. As soon as the internet came out, it slowly began to evolve making it even worse as it meant there was now a way to hurt more people and disrespecting people who are in another country instead of hurting only the people in their neighborhoods. When the start of trying to induce kindness and compassion, as well as common courtesy was put in place; the world was already in a bad mindset of a big ego and one country (America); thought it was better than all the others; except for France and Spainards for a short while; due to winning a war against England. The citizens then started to become acting like they were better than everything and everyone else. The British civilians were even becoming racist to the Ireland and French Citizens before they then went and forced many different African Tribes to become slaves. They also soon started taking Tribal land from Native Americans and tried to choose where we lived despite it once being our land that the earth gave us. After us, they began to act racist to the Spainards who helped them win the war, no less. Afterwards, they added the same reactions to the Germans, Asians and so many more, causing it to make it's way onto social media where they used to hate on anyone and everyone. It even ripped people apart, causing so much heartache and mistrust with everyone around them.
Online politeness is a faithful reflection of the real use of politeness, just as the Internet world cannot but reflect the real society. In general, politeness is an endangered custom, cornered by political correctness, egoism, and other such things in today's world.
