[10 September, 2021] In the Epic Games vs. Apple ruling, the court said Apple will not be allowed to prevent "Developers from including in their apps and their metadata buttons, external links, or other calls to action that direct customers to purchasing mechanisms, in addition to In-App Purchasing." I have a pretty negative opinion of Apple as a company because they actively make it hard to repair their hardware while also making other pieces of hardware less accessible so that they can sell some other product to you. That being said, I don't really like the direction Microsoft has been going either. I haven't updated to Windows 11 because apparently you have ads fed to you while using your computer, which is pretty nuts to me. But if people use Apple products and they work fine for them, so be it. It's not my place to judge.
