Kntoran you are right about that I didn't think about the other smaller races I guess because I tend to play human. A halfling mounted on a war horse might be like riding a dinosaur.

Yeah a lot of people being taller like humans often forget about those who are smaller and can not really ride a large animal. I am glad there is a few full companies of war ponies and their armored riders in my worlds.

I can understand small characters using a pony but I'd never use one. For me I just got to have something cool like a war horse or war wolf.

A war wolf is ok if I would allow it in my world I would have to think on that. I believe a war pony can come in real handy in a mountainous region where their sure steps can lead you safely and not off a cliff as a horse can.
