What is your strategy for confronting the fantasy creature Shape of Fire in Dungeons & Dragons?

Fire Shape

I would attack this with a lot of cold based attacks. This is a creature of fire and water and cold attacks should be the best thing to use against it. I would hope that something like this is not used against lower level creatures.
