I have seen it last night. Superb, I am a fan of animation and this is done with a great skill. Not only the animations were grate but they manage to tell the story without falling into the cliche we are seeing lately. Great movie I will see it again tonight:)
This movie is genius!! It was absolutely hysterical! I think what made it was Pixar's short film called 'Boundin'' at the very beginning.. It was SO random!!! Which made it all the more funny; I was crying with laughter! I would have paid £7.50 just to see that 5 minutes! At first I thought that it had absolutely nothing to do with the actual film but then I started to think, and I came up with a theory on the bus journey home... The short is about a sheep who has a coat of wool and shows it off to all the other animals. Then one day his coat is shawn and he is naked! He then cannot express himself with his funny dancing and singing, but then one day his coat grows back and he returns to his usual bouncy self. This has a parallel to the actual film, as the Incredibles start out to be an abnormal family with superpowers and Mr.Incredible used his powers to save the world. But then society crushed him by sueing him for saving a woman who didn't want to be saved!! SO... they were forced to live a mesely existence and conceal their true characters. The family were not happy during this time as they could not express their real identities. Then in the end, the family is liberated and things resume to how they were in the beginning, only even better!!!
Very creative connection between Boundin' and The Incredibles kateb2005! When you put it that way, it actually makes sense. I don't know that I would ever have been able to come up with that!
Offtopic but, Have you come up with connections between all the shorts and their respective movies for Pixar's other films? I would be interested in hearing those as well... |
We saw the movie last week. We turned around and bought the DVD the next day.
Wonderful movie, full of great puns and jokes dealing with other movies. I was roaring at the hunt through the jungle, reminiscent of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
