Rorschach
I was doing some research about this Comic Character known as 'Rorschach' and was surprised to learn of the similarities between the movie SAW and his own plot of revenge as an anti-hero.

In 1975, Rorschach was searching for a kidnapped child and found her captor's vacant hideout. A cursory inspection revealed, to his horror, that the girl had been murdered, butchered, and fed to two German Shepherd dogs. In the face of this atrocity, Kovacs' mind snapped and assumed the mental identity of Rorschach as a separate personality. He killed the dogs with a meat cleaver and waited for the kidnapper. When the man returned, he wordlessly chained him to a pipe, ignoring his claims of innocence (the man tells to Rorschach: "you can't prove anything, there's no evidence", which indicates he fed the girl to the dogs to get rid of the 'evidence'), then placed a hacksaw near him and set the house on fire. Finally speaking, he told the terrified man that he would not have time to cut through his restraints before the fire killed him (implying that he would have to sever his own arm to escape). Kovacs calmly watched the structure burn from across the street; the suspected kidnapper did not emerge. In a much-later interview with a psychologist, Kovacs explicitly mentions the incident as the point after which he became "Rorschach, who sometimes pretends to be Kovacs"; before that, he claims, he was only "Kovacs pretending to be Rorschach." I had never heard of this character, but I have seen both of the saw movies. The movies only briefly touchs on why Jigsaw does what he does and I don't remember the reason. I wonder if the movie was indeed taken from the comic series or if it is just coincidence. But the idea of forcing someone to cut their limb off or die is pretty specific to be coincidence.
I only know the movie version but rorschach are really cool and violent he really deliver retribution to criminals, I like how his preference to claim rorschach as his true identity, regarding the similarity to SAW I think his reasoning make sense compare to the twisted reason of SAW who try to play psychiatrist to teaching the value of life using deadly trap and of course it gonna fail, and keep failing because he don't understand psychology, he don't understand the difference in facing death by natural event compare to meeting psycho who force them to playing deathly game, the only people that survive either develop ptsd or become psycho themself.
Also base on the tale its clear that rorschach already rig the game, how the hell the kidnapper gonna cut "Both" of the hand. Still I think the kidnapper should get the same taste of what he done to the girl rather than being burn alive, which I think happen in the movie version.
