I am African (Black) and a Mormon. I often feel Mormonism carries a trace of racism, we are often advised to marry within our own race and on more than one occasion I have witnessed debates which are filled with superiority complexes.
I love the gospel but am not sure how much longer I can keep the faith in a religion that does no recognise me as an equal.
I am now looking towards traditional African religions which dictate that every tribe and every race has their own God.
I love the LDS church, but maybe I would love a God who loves me and my skin colour better.
Doe Mormonism encourage racism by discouraging interracial dating? I truly believe it does.
