Delta, United and JetBlue will require all passengers to wear face coverings beginning Monday. Delta and JetBlue will make them mandatory from the time passengers check in through the time they deplane. United said it will provide the required face coverings to passengers and the new policy will also make masks compulsory for other front-line employees such as pilots, customer service agents and ramp workers. Flight attendants for these airlines are already wearing masks. Ref. USAToday.
I'm sure there are those who have no choice but to fly somewhere, either for work or personal reasons, but this is very intimidating to me. The close quarters is just overwhelming just to think about at the moment. But, it's good that they are requiring this, as it's a way to protect the fliers.
AT&T will delay rollout of 5G near airports as airlines warn of 'incalculable' damage to economy. AT&T's announcement comes after airlines and shipping carriers warned "Commerce will grind to a halt" if 5G service is allowed within 2 miles of airports. A company statement blasts the aviation industry and FAA, saying they "Have not utilized the two years they’ve had to responsibly plan for this deployment." Source 7n.
