Since our country is dominantly Roman Catholic, polygamy is not allowed. Marriage is sacred and protected both by the church and the law. Divorce is not legal here. It is hard and expensive to have your marriage annulled.
Polygamy is only allowed among our muslim brothers. But I have yet to meet a filipino muslim with many wives.
