Pakistan International Airlines Flight PK-661 carrying 40 passengers has lost contact with a control tower, the airline said.
"We regret to inform that PIA's ATR-42 aircraft operating as PK-661, carrying around 40 persons lost its contact with control tower on its way from Chitral (Pakistan) to Islamabad a short while ago," the statement said.
"All resources are being mobilized to locate the aircraft." Ref. CNN.

Pakistan International Airlines plane with more than 100 people aboard crashes in residential area near Karachi. There were no immediate reports on the number of casualties. The aircraft, arriving from the eastern city of Lahore, was carrying 99 passengers and eight crew members when it crashed near the southern port city of Karachi, Abdul Sattar Kokhar, a spokesman for the country’s civil aviation authority, told the Associated Press.
