Amazon announces minimum wage of $15 for all U.S. Workers, says it will lobby for higher federal minimum wage. The company said it would increase its minimum wage on Nov. 1 to $15 an hour for all of its 250,000 U.S. Full-time, part-time, seasonal and temporary employees, including temps hired by agencies. Amazon also said it would begin lobbying for an increase in the federal minimum wage. The company's wage structure recently was the target of criticism from Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vermont. Ref. With Amazonraising it's pay to $15 a hour that can mean that many others will soon follow suit and maybe across the nation in the next few years we will see everyone making at least $15 a hour. I do however wonder how this will effect common goods and prices as the cost for hiring and maintaining a solid work force goes up too.
