Vanity Fair: Conservatives only praised Japanese people because they are racist
A contributing editor at Vanity Fair believes he's uncovered the real reason why conservatives like Glenn Beck are praising how the Japanese are handling a devastating crisis: "And the real message of those tributes was, There's been no looting in Japan because they don't have black people running amuck and ransacking." Glenn responds to the ridiculous attack on radio today. Ref. Source 6
Well, apparently CNN, BBC, ABC, CBS and NBC have all have had reporters issue praise for how the people of Japan have dealt with the nuclear crisis/tsunami/earthquake that has resulted in massive loss of life and basic creature comforts most of us take for granted. They all must be racist as well...
It is articles like the one above that just show me there is likely never to be any benefits from both sides talking as they are just too deeply divided and have blinders and can twist the most basic of observations. I do love how giving a compliment to the Japanese people and being just the slightest bit envious of how dignified it looked versus what happened here with Katrina is racist. Katrina just shows as a glimpse of how quickly our social structure can crumble in the US. Fukushima shows us that the Japanese social structure will take a good deal more to collapse into the chaos that we saw in New Orleans. Envious...yeah. Racist. Really?
In Japan, the number 4 is considered an unlucky number.
