US Government's Experimental Commercial Drone Program
US government picks San Diego to test autonomous drone deliveries. The U.S. Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that the city was selected to participate in its experimental commercial drone program. San Diego was one of 10 winning agencies, selected from a field of 149 city and state applicants. Source 4c.

While this can revolutionize the way deliveries are made to your home it can be something a bit strange. No longer will one look down the street in hopes of seeing the UPS or the Fed-ex trucks heading their way but now will look to the skies for a drone to bring their packages.
