Do you think its selfish or inconsiderate for prospective parents who are seniors to want to have a baby?
It depends on how old we're talking about. If you're really old then I wouldn't want to have a baby as its a lot of responsibility and I only get a taste from babysitting sometimes. You need to be around and there for children and if you are too old you might end up being the one who needs someone taking care of you.
I think people are waiting longer to have children and as they do it will get more and more common for older people to get pregnant and have children. I know there is a lot of issues with older women having children. I am sure as time goes on more studies and research would make it possible for safer pregnancies for older women.
Age is a big factor and it increases the risk the child could be born with a disability. If you have a child with Down Syndrome then its the child has to bare the burden of that challenge for life. Why increase the risk by having a child when you're old and more likely to cause these challenges to be on your child.
