These are things I would have thought would be already available but since most of our ships tend to be decades old I notice they tend to bring advanced technology on board a little slower. For example the way we land planes on carriers, there has to be a better way like how the Harrier jump jet works.

We do have VSTOL aircraft on board our carriers but many of our most capable jets aren't STOL or CSTOL capable. That is due to their aerodynamic and radar defeating dedigns. There may come a day when we makes planes that are better at both, but it's not quite here yet.
