Leather Furniture
It would also be wise to place your leather furniture in a place where many people will not be constantly rubbing against it causing irreversible marks. Most marks can be removed with leather conditioners, but over time there will probably be wear and tear that you cannot fix.
I've got a leather settee and armchair, purely because I was sick and tired of trying to get stains off my upholstered suite that I had previously. I didn't find an upholstered suite 'child friendly', whereas the leather suite has been great so far, and any spills just wipe clean. I have a dark colored suite, so I don't know whether this would be the same with say a cream colored suite.
I tend to polish it with leather cream, and it already has a protection spray on it that was on when I bought it, which I have found to be very worthwhile.
I'm very cautious with the pets near it, as I don't know whether it would easily rip with their claws or not...and hopefully I won't get to find out!
