Frozen pizza recalled over listeria concerns

A California company is recalling its “Marketside Extra Large Supreme Pizza,” after routine sampling indicated that it may be contaminated with listeria. The frozen food was sold at Walmarts and other stores in California, Nevada, Utah and Washington. Ref. Source 1j.

Pizza Supreme Large Extra Marketside

Seems of late there is a variety of products that are being recalled due to E-coli or Listeria. I wonder what is going on that is causing a lot of these recalls? Is someone not cleaning the machines correctly?
