If you have a good ventilated house and make sure the chimney or stove pipe is properly clean and in working order I think you would not have a lot of issues with wood burning stoves or even fireplaces. I grew up in homes that heated a lot of the rooms with just a wood burning stove. I know my grandparents lived a good long time so I am not sure I agree with this article at all. I guess this may be something in a city where a lot of wood stoves are present instead of a few here and there.
