Toaster Strudel vs. Pop Tarts
Which one do you or your kids prefer: Toaster Strudel or Pop Tarts?

Now this is a difficult question...
Of course you have the toaster strudel with its flakey and moist crust filled with the likes of cherries and cheese that actually taste as though it were made by someone and maybe not a manufacturing process. The cute Pillsbury Dough Boy making cute noises as he is poked by that pastry engorged finger that comes from nowhere just makes you want to try one. Not to mention, that they studel is not complete until you put on the light and fluid icing that just rounds out the sugar-induced coma oooooo so nicely. These things are almost living as they have to be frozen to insure their freshness...you cant let these little gems just sit in any environment. Yeah...they are good, but they weren't first.
On the other hand you have the pop tart. Oh yes...since 1960, the pop tart has been in our homes waiting for us to wake for breakfast. The fine folks at Post Cereals developed a way to keep their dry dog food fresh for longer and found a good use for US too. Unfortunately, through poor marketing, Post Cereals was not able to capitalize on their wonderful invention and guys at Kellogg's took a keen interest and created the POP TART! Ohhh, the rest is history.
Sure you can have the nearly gourmet toaster strudel if you want, but there are many reasons to hail the pop tart. That saliva sucking, cardboard like crust that surrounds the 2mm thick dried out jam-like filling that is topped off by icing that is a marvel to scientist alike for its ability to transform the pastry into a blow torch when left in the toaster too long, has helped generations of Americans achieve their first root canal work. That's right folks...pop tarts might actually be able to help you do brazing or maybe even a bit of welding...

Toaster strudels just wilt under that kind of heat, while the pop tart says..."RELEASE THE CHEMICALS"!
For eveyone's information, it wasn't Toaster Strudels that were air lifted to the boys fighting in Afghanistan...it was the Pop Tart. That's right...a theater of war is no place for those delicate Toaster Strudels and if it is good enough for our boys in war...it's good enough for ME! Now there has been rumour that the Pop Tart served a dual role of nutrition and weapon in Afghanistan, but those rumours cannot be confirmed!
But if you get a really good coupon on the strudel...I would go for it!

I grew up eating pop tarts and dont think I ever had a toaster strudel. I'll have to look for it next time we shop for our food list just so I can make the comparison. If you want me to tell you what I think that will cost you extra.

Title: Toaster Strudels!
Comments: Toaster Strudels! I love Toaster Strudel's slightly crunchy bread, and fruity, delicious insides! I was eating a Blueberry Toaster Strudel just seconds ago. I've never really tasted Pop Tarts, but I know for sure Pop Tarts are bad. I read reviews and one said they just tasted like sweetened cardboard. so toaster strudels! no pop tart can beat toaster strudels! so if you've never tasted a toaster strudel I suggest you try it and for that person who said they eat pop tarts but never ate toaster strudels why are you even voting if you haven't even tasted both loser ;P toaster strudels are my pick even though they are slightly messy it's worth the mess, pop tart suckers, losers like pop tarts.
I just gave my boys the apple Toaster Strudel where you have to heat it in the oven and then squeeze the sugar frosting on the top - its a hit with them. The option of not having to put the sugar on top may go well with my wife too as Pop Tarts are very sugary.
This may be a radical idea, but I like Toaster Strudels and Pop-Tarts. Both have there pros and con though the former is probably healthier.
I will disagree with the majority saying they taste like cardboard. As a kid used to eat cardboard, I had a bad habit of tasting things unknown, so I know to tastes like. Pop-Tarts, in my opinion do not taste like cardboard.
