One should never allow the "Must haves" of life to delay the "Needs to happen nows".
One of the best examples comes from the movie, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, starring Debbie Reynolds and Harve Prusnell.
When Johnny J. Brown met Molly, he knew right away that he loved her. Not seeing a need to get all fancy and wait around for more money, a fancy ring, the right moment, or anything like that, they went to town, found a preachers and got married. Her wedding band was a cigar band or label wrapper.
Later in the movie, Johnny replaced that cigar band with a ring of expensive stones placed exactly to look like that cigar band. Buy the fancy stuff later.
Talk about being a snail. She might have found 10 other people who would say "I do" by the time he was ready to do it.
