I think this is too much for children to consume and it may confusing for them while growing up as though life isn't confusing enough as it is.

If this is all the child knows, why is it confusing? Its what they know.

Because its not all the child will know. As the child grows he will see other families and compare how they are to his/her own and begin to wonder what's up, that is the point I was trying to make. Being transgender is an extremely complex topic, its not even as straightforward as being gay.

People can have an amazing ability to adapt to their environment. A family that strays from the nuclear family concept is not doomed, it just has to deal with the special challenges that will be thrown its way. If children are raised to not be judgemental and if their developmental environment is a loving one, I am certain that transgendered families can produce normal, well-adjusted children. I will grant, however, the challenges involved multiply, especially when peer influences come into the picture. Even the Male-female-marriage unit is far from perfect. One further hope: if these children, exposed as they are to the choices a person faces involving gender roles, become a larger minority of the population, hopefully understanding and accepting the choices of others will become more commonplace and acts of bigotry will become fewer.

Credit should be given to the child… of course she will know if not from friends then from something not being 'normal' in the way they do things. A child grows into an adult and will find out one way or the other… that has to be a big impact!

I think there is a long ways to go and who knows how they will be raised. Maybe the two will gradually tell the kids about them and how they came to be mommy and daddy for them and all will be good. This will also help prepare them for the life they will have once they reach middle school as kids by then start to become very cruel to others that do not fit into their pictures of how life should be.

With a well thought out plan on how they will raise the kids I am sure the kids will turn out to be very normal people and maybe even more understanding about how people are all different.

Love is the most important thing. As a parent, you can be whatever sexual orientation as you want as long ad you truly love your children. Other parents and children may not approve, but in the long run, their opinions don't matter. Love is all that matters.
