Thanksgiving Turkey Pardon

Obama makes final Thanksgiving turkey pardon

President Barack Obama gave the traditional pardoning of the national Thanksgiving turkey yesterday, this time with his nephews standing in for daughters Malia and Sasha. The ceremony featured Iowa-raised turkeys Tater and Tot, with Tot receiving the reprieve. Ref. Source 1i.

Pardon Turkey Thanksgiving

What happens to the pardoned turkeys?

Now that President Barack Obama has issued his final turkey pardon, what happens to the birds? They are heading off to college. Virginia Tech will be the home of the turkeys, specifically in Gobbler’s Rest in the university’s livestock judging pavilion. Ref. Source 9a.
