Comments: Paper can't beat the kind of software that is available for genealogy compiling and pedigree creation - there are just too many options compared to what you can do by hand.

I like to know the names of those who were before me but I am not that dedicated to research every birth / death date, etc. Having a genealogy program, especially one that has some kind of easy to use wizard is great for me.
