While I'm not a total vegetarian I know we all can greatly improve our health by making fruits and vegetables 60-80% of our dietary intake. I see the typical plate and fruits / veggies make up 20-40% of what we eat.
Vegetarians have healthier levels of disease markers than meat-eaters. Vegetarians appear to have a healthier biomarker profile than meat-eaters, and this applies to adults of any age and weight, and is also unaffected by smoking and alcohol consumption, according to a new study in over 166,000 UK adults.
