The legend of Fiji creation and their people made by the Great Serpent Degei and female hawk named Turukawa who live in a god island, the hawk build nest and lay two egg who get stolen by the snake and hatch into two human, basically adam and eve, the snake adopted them as his children, but both are being separated and surrounded by tree planted by the snake, who this snake teach them how to cultivate too, but they cannot eat yam and taro because they don't know the art of making fire and this food are inedible or poisonous in raw form, its also mean to be exclusively food for the god, so after they grown up they manage to meet each other and ask the snake to be taught how to make fire desiring the god food and the snake relent and teach them and let them left and build their own family, knowing his generosity will result in their generation to worship him as god.
