At last we are starting to see a change in China. I remember when I was in Wales during 1992 I was teaching a Chinese doctor of nuerology. He was participating in some studies in the University of Bangor. I along with another missionary thought him about Jesus Christ and he very much anted to be baptised, but because of persecution from the government back home he could only read the scriptures in secret. We prayed that he would one day have the opportunity to express his new found beliefs openly.
Here is the latest on China from CNN:
"BREAKTHROUGH IN CHINA HUMAN RIGHTS
China has agreed to allow the United Nations unconditional access to investigate claims of torture, religious persecution and arbitrary detention
after a three-year break in talks on human rights."

I'm so glad to hear this!. There are so many countries where the people are really suffering and they need help. Hopefully the UN will be able to check everything going on there and do something about it.
At least we see that the UN is not working only on the Iraq-USA issue but in more important issues to deal with.
