What Will These Politicians Do Next?

I was greatly annoyed the other day( and I must say that that is an understatement) to hear one of our revered ministers Ms camille robinson regis I believe she is called...quoting from one of the hindu scriptures..I felt thoroughly insulted that such beautiful words from such a revered text was used on a political platform...far be it from me to say that inspiration should not be given to the citizens of this country but I truly do protest at politicians using religion and quoting from religious texts from whatever religion it may be to gain some points politically...whilst I applaud her effort to pronounce the words and get them right (she seemed to be trying so hard ) I would like to advise her and indeed all politicians to please respect these texts which hold so much truth and goodness and do not drag religion into your dirty sludge of politics...thank you very much

Next Politicians Will What

I saw it on TV and even though you said she tried to pronounce the words properly, I think it was a lack of respect the way she used it. It was so fake the whole thing (that's how I felt when I saw it on TV) you could see that was used just for politics and nothing more. It was a lack of respect for me.

I hear you ...you don't know how disgusted I was when I saw that..not a lot makes me mad..but that day I was really steaming when I saw that..I just had to take off the tv...man I don't know you know...it sickens me to think that these hypocrites are the ones who run this country..I mean "sheesh" I was insulted as a hindu to hear her speak those words on a political platform...then again nothing these people do to gain voted ever surprises me...I hope that she doesn't complain when the law of action and reaction gets to her...god is god in whatever form you worship him in...and what she did was blatant disrespect to hindu's and I pity the person who supports such a person cause I surly don't...

Next Politicians Will What

Politicians will use anything to promote their 'cause'. Actually I am surprised they do not use more Biblical statements since the population is mostly Christian and it worked for Bush too :laugh:
