hi everyone. Today i had a horrible day. Wanted to share it with you. I went to a prominent credit union{religious affiliation} and informed the lady at the front desk that i wanted a within my shares loan.........meaning i am borrowing an amount in my account and MY money stands as security.I arrived at 10:45am and was still left waiting up to 11:45am. that's an hour.when i politely went to her and asked if i was getting assistance today she said i should go to the supervisor which i did. by then i had gotten really upset so i told her i wanted all $10 000 of my money. she tried immediately to assist me in getting $1200 that i had originally wanted. the manager then came and tried to calm me down. But can you imagine how upset i was.i met a room filled with people who were assisted and left and the room refilled and i was still there. i eventually took $1200 but have no intention of returning there. The manager said to me that the problem was that the people who had come all had appointments ,which was a lie. these people he claimed were applying for large sums of money and therfore had to meet loan officers. my argument was that their policy is that i, who would like a little of my money has to apply for it also but needs no appointment.why are ALL their loan officers engaged with one type of transaction? And why didn't the woman say something to me to alleviate my annoyance?Anyhow to all of you please DO NOT join this credit union. If you are a HINDU you may feel obligated but i can assure you you will REGRET IT.
Meow, I'm so sorry about your bad day. I can imagine your anger and frustration, I know also for experience that there is not such a thing as 'Customer Service' in Trinidad :. It is really bad but I also I believe that people should stand for what they believe. For instance, if I was in the same situation you was, no way I was going to wait for an hour when a lot of people who came after me left before me, no way...as soon as I see that, I would complaint and make noise if it's necessary. In this country, you need to be tough, they see you polite and nice and they think you're weak.
Again, sorry you had a bad day, all I can say is hope you feel better after this experience and make sure to take out your money from that place that's obviously not a good place where they appreciate their customers. Good luck.
thanks LDS_forever. I was really upset and it has thought me a valuable lesson about assertivness. I waited until i was too annoyed and then dealt with the matter........which was wrong. In any event i wrote a letter to the head office about my horibble experiences at this particular credit union and have now chosen to stop doing business with them.
