I really do not like receiving clothes for Christmas. I like to buy my own stuff. I want to try it on, check the fit, etc. My style might also change so just because you saw me wear something 6 months ago doesn't mean I want to wear it today. Please no clothes for Christmas!
I have over the years got some very interesting Christmas presents from people who feel that they know me but the gift clearly tells me that they have no idea who I am or what I do. Like a sweater. Lets give a person who is hot all the time a sweater to sweat even more in. Or lets give them shirts that are three sizes too big or three sizes too small. Yeah thanks Love the gift.
My toddler (4) got a gift Batman car once from his aunt. It was meant to be a display only item and not for playing with, but his aunt made a mistake. He looked at it and saw the wheels didn't move and took it to everyone in room, asking each and every one of us (8 people) to "Fix it, please." Finally, he took it back to her, dropped it pointedly in her lap and said "I don't want it.". Ah, the unsubtle style of a young child!
