NEW YORK (AP) - Two political advocacy groups say Fox News' use of the slogan "Fair and Balanced" is deceptive advertising.
MoveOn.org and Common Cause have filed a petition with the Federal Trade Commission to force Fox to stop using the slogan.
The groups say Fox News reports are -- as they put it -- "deliberately and consistently distorted and twisted to promote the Republican Party of the U.S. and an extreme right-wing viewpoint."
A Fox News spokeswoman calls the consumer fraud allegation a "transparent publicity stunt."
Meanwhile, a former FTC lawyer says he sees little chance for the petition -- saying the commission doesn't wade in political waters.
It could take months before the FTC decides if the complaint has merit.

I find this to be amusing, really. While it is true that Fox News seem to have a conservative point of view, the same can be said for other news stations, eg CNN, which have a very liberal point of view. It is a shame that the Democratic party would stoop to such levels to divert attention to their campaign.

It doesn't surprise me a bit. I'm sure plenty more devious tactics will be used during the campaign -- especially after the political conventions.
in my opinion, of course.
