Xenotransplantation - Transplantation of the [genetically modified] organs of one species into another. Although xenotransplantation is an experimental procedure, many scientists view it as an eventual solution to the critical shortage of human organs.

I think they should make it mandatory to donate your organs after you die, unless you have extreme relgious beliefs against it. That would solve a lot of the problem. It's criminal how long people have to wait, and I think that we should be using smaller steps, such as that, before moving on to genetically modified organs and the such.
