Marijuana use is much more common in US states that have legalized recreational cannabis use. A new study found that rates of cannabis use and daily cannabis use have increased across the U.S., and current cannabis use and daily use are substantially higher among individuals residing in states that have legalized recreational cannabis use. Rates of cannabis use are even higher among Americans 12 and older who smoke cigarettes, and who reside in states with recreational cannabis laws, compared to those who live in states where cannabis was illegal in 2017. I am not surprised that rates of cannabis use and daily cannabis use are higher and have gone up in states where recreational cannabis has been legalized, though one detail that does concern me is the '12 and older' detail. Since, as I mentioned on the previous page, I do feel that cannabis should follow similar laws to smoking and drinking alcohol, not to be given to minors except possibly for medical use.
As, while it is no cure all, it does still have benefits both medically and in general if used responsibility. Though do consider that it could have negative side effects in teens and their still developing internal chemistry and minds. That, iff you are an adult, have at it as long as you don't get in trouble such as driving under the influence or going to work high, used responsibly, yet if one is a teen cannabis should be restricted.

Lots of people believe that cannabis has this or that benefit, much the same way they believe that laetrile or St. John's Wort does. Whether it does is an issue of fact, to be decided by the evidence. I just hope that the science that looks into this issue is good, and not sloppy and mobbed up by various interests.
