Crime Emergency State

Crime is bad, but I do not see how calling a State of Emergency helps in the long term. It may be good for a couple of days, but then what?

State Of Emergency For Crime? Caribbean / Tobago & Trinidad

I agree with your statement JB but I think in a place like Trinidad people want to see an acknowledgment from the Government about the seriousness of the crime situation, Patrick Manning is on denial or he is just being cynic. When a state of emergency takes place, there are restriction towards times to be inside your house and so on, yes, it may not help to solve the crime problem but we have to start somewhere!
