Heat Wave - Page 2

Update: Today's been even hotter! It broke the record and we went past the 100F mark!
LDS' suggestion of a cold bath/shower worked a treat! lol

The weather's been freaky here, while down in the south we've had the hottest weather in the north they had a freak storm and everywhere flooded really fast! On the news there was people swimming in the streets.
Elsewhere, at a football game or something a women was directly struck by lightening. They thought she was dead at first but them managed to revive her, others were treated for burns and shock.

I think it's going to get less hot now, but I guess it was good while it lasted. Ysterday we had a BBQ and my aunt, uncle and little cousin came round and we've been able to spend each night sitting out in the garden

That's terrible to hear that the weather has been so terrible over where you are.  Hopefully, it will get better.  I know about crazy those freak storms are.  Florida had a tornado one day last week during a freak storm.  Luckily no one was killed or got seriously injured.  :)

I wish I could say that they heat would let up here, but it won't until around mid-September.  :  The good thing is, we actually moved in a place that has central air conditioning.  :D  The house stays alot cooler than the house we moved from did.  ;)

Lucky girl Sorry to hear about the weather there Robert. I know you all are not very accostum to such a high temperature...I know how the change can be. Its amazing after living in Trinidad  for a while my body started to adjust to this weather, it's not easy, but...there is nothing really you can do. One thing for sure, you have a tan 24hs a day, 365 days of the year....:

lol LDS a tan would be nice! I do like it to be nice but the worst thing is trying to sleep in it. It's still nice now but I think it's going to get a bit less hot now

lol @LDS I wish I could get a decent tan.  :  Both of my girls turn such a nice golden brown, while I just burn   :'(

Like I said before, I would gladly swap weather with Europe. Now they back to normal and can have nice cool weather but me? Still stuck in hot humid tropical greenhouse. *Sigh*

I guess Trinidad is like Malaysia too, huh? lol!
