An outbreak of opportunistic mistletoe rustling is threatening a Christmas kissing crisis, British environmental experts said Wednesday. The Wildlife Trusts said over-harvesting of the plant that only grows in the wild and is mainly found on old apple trees meant it was becoming increasingly rare.

I didn't know that mistletoe only grew in the wild. Nor was I aware that it grew on apple trees. That is very interesting. But as far as the plant becoming rare..... Anyone ever year of plastic?, it lasts much longer than real ones.
We've seen large clumps of mistletoe growing in old trees in our neighborhood. I didn't realize they grew only in apple trees -- I thought some of these older trees were something else. Interesting. Now, if only I had a really tall ladder....
