Of recent we have been talking a lot about what is being said in the 2007 Elections and a thought came to me... if we were to put the people listed in the poll above in a locked room and they had to debate over an issue who do you think would win?

Consider the following before choosing:

1. The person must be grammatically correct in their statements
2. Be able to talk forcefully without shouting
3. Be able to quote things verbatim
4. Correct body language: have a look as though they know what they are talking about regardless to whether they really do or don't.
5. Be able to make counter punch arguments without becoming insulting

Now you may not like any of the names, but the point who is the BEST out of the names chosen? This should be entertaining.

I think Patrick Manning is the best Trini Debater in that list. Now let me clarify that I cannot stand his arrogance neither his politics BUT compared to the rest he is the best.

As much as I hate to admit it I believe the best from that list is Patrick Manning as far as handling himself. The best sounding would probably be Wendy as she has that radio announcer voice. Combine the two, leave out the arrogance and you have one of the most charismatic leaders of the century.

Dont underestimate Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, the man can really talk about anything with anyone anywhere. He's a top attorney and has the case wins to prove it!

Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj has a few good points as an orator, but he is not an all rounder. Plus, recently I have been listening to him and every time he tries to speak loud his voice gets rather hoarse (maybe from age) and then it sounds bad.

I think Ramesh knows a lot more than Manning and can set him right on a number of things that Manning can only guess.
