Landmines

If you were a general, would you plant landmines on your borders to hamper the enemy even if you knew years later some of your own people would die or loose limbs because of it?

What are Landmines?

Landmines are basically explosive devices that are designed to explode when triggered by pressure or a tripwire. These devices are typically found on or just below the surface of the ground. The purpose of mines when used by armed forces is to disable any person or vehicle that comes into contact with it by an explosion or fragments released at high speeds.

Landmines

I would not be opposed to planting landmines however I would also place signs on my country's side of the border warning of landmines. You can warn someone that there are landmines and leave it to them to ignore the warning. It also does not disclose where the landmines are, so it is not giving away anything.
