"We aren't going with my suggestion of Yimbleburg? My father's going to be disappointed." Kresnik chides with a grin.
"Jesting aside, Freehold seems an excellent name for this place. I'm not so certain about Kalamern, it doesn't quite speak to me, save perhaps to remind me of a food dish I haven't had in a while. What do you think of Rathun? It is based on an old word for prosperity."
In response to Jesla's query, Kresnik listens to the others' responses before chiming in, "They bring up some of the reasons. Another is that of simple ability. The qualities of a good leader do not include personal strength. To lead a nation well, one first and foremost needs the intelligence and wisdom to make the right decisions, and the means to inspire others to abide by them. So what do you do when the strongest man around is an utter imbecile? Do nothing and watch him drag everyone else down with him into ruin?"
With a smile I reply to Jesla, "Luck is the residue of hard work and design. Hold your head up proudly - I have seen many a foe bested by Theaton and Mykael through force of arms. Knowing we have one more capable individual in the realm is a boon."
Hearing the single dissent on the kingdom name, I suggest, "If not Kalamern, what of the name Kamelarn? Kamelarn has a near mythical feel to it and rolls nicely off the tongue. Sorry to disappoint your father. Rathun has promise too."
After listening to everyone's responses, I chime in, "Why be worried about the commoners… That is a good question. The others have listed valid reasons and a more complete answer would take a meaningful amount of time. Let us look at it another way - you value strength, yes?"
I summon a Lantern Archon. "This Lantern Archon represents a single strong individual. Let us call him the leader." I then summon eight more Lantern Archons. "The other eight Lantern archons are commoners. The leader could be a tyrant and lord over the others, but this would result in him gaining some strength and the others growing weaker. It would have the net effect of their group being weaker than if they all worked together."
With that I clasp my hands together and utter the word for 'gestalt' in Celestial. The nine small Lantern Archons suddenly fuse together into a large entity that looks like a whirlwind of dancing firefly lights.
"You see how they have become more powerful than the individual Lantern Archons that make up its parts? Something similar can occur when the hearts and minds of a people coincide with those of their ruler."
"That being said, the question arises 'is it better to be feared or be loved?' The answer is it is better to be both feared and loved, but if only one may be chosen, than fear is the choice that should be made for the sake of order. Fortunately, we may choose both," I finish with a smile.
Out of Character: Kamelarn is a play on Camelot and sounds similar, with a nod to the Kamelands and Narlmarches.

Jesla looks at the others as they explain the basis of their government and why they care about the commoners. She nods at appropriate parts. Her eyes widen at Archival's demonstration with the Lantern Archons.
She is silent for a moment while she thinks about what she has seen and heard. " Thanks to each of you for the explanation and demonstration in answer to my question. I understand the concept now. It is something I will think on further being so far removed from what I know. I hope that you don't think less of me from my question. I am trying to understand your ways more."
"Jesla I do not thik less of you for any questions for how can we gain in knowledge if we do not ask questions. We all live and work together so understanding each other is a must. You are a good person with desire to make a name for yourself just like we are doing. Ask me, us, any questions if it will help you."
With the kingdom's first meeting taking not hours, but days, the month of Eastus comes to a frighteningly fast close and bringing Arodus, named after the dead god which brought humanity to its current abundance on Golarion. The thought of the old god inspires hope in all, but also fear of what cannot be predicted.
Topic moved to Rivers Run Red (Red with raspberry jam of course!) Any questions on kingdom building I am happy to answer in the Questions topic.

After the meeting I will summon a phantom steed and ride it to converse with Mikmek and reaffirm our friendship.
