I think Dbackers, you have actually make a good comparison, with reference to a car.
You, can purchase a good reliable car. But, the driver behind the wheel, may actually misuse the car, and cause it to become unreliable.
Even worse, use it to deliberately cause harm, by killing people.
There, can be no doubt, that man has both the power to dispense evil, and good.
I believe, God by nature is good, and it is man who has the choice, of both good and evil.

This might be off topic but where in the bible did it say god was good and he created evil, I always saw him as a god of creation not of good,.

Well the Bible does say that God is the creator of all and when he looked on his creation he called it "Good". Satan was not evil from the start. He was good before but turned evil… he was a fallen angel.
