Your Favorite Bible Prophet

There are many Prophets in the Bible, some are more recognized than others, but which one is your absolute favorite and why? You should also share the story and / or verse associated with the reason you like that Prophet?

MY favourite bible prophet is Moses. He was raised as a Pharoah's son yet found his roots and tried the best he could not fulfill what God had instore for him... Not only did he deliver the Children of Israel out of bondage but through the power of God he was able to part the red sea and received the 10 commandments. His story can be found in the first 5 books of the King James Version of the Bible as we know it

I would have to say Elijah. I can just see a Prophet getting fed up with the wickedness he sees around him, and challenging the false priests. Then, when they fail to get any results, to call forth an overwhelming show of force from the One True God.

My favorite prophet is definitely Deborah. She started out just helping everyday people with their everyday problems, but she ended up leading the Israelite army into battle against a wicked king. The coolest thing about her is that she wasn't afraid to express herself in a time when women were supposed to be silent. Her story can be found in Judges 20.

Samuel is my favorite, I have always loved this story of Samuel as a child being called by God.

This must have been both frightening and awesome at the same time for a young child, in my opinion.

Reference to Samuel being a prophet can be found in the following scriptures--

1 Samuel 3:20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.

2 Chronicles 35:18 And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Acts 13:20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
